Welcome to Dundrum Parish Primary School

Welcome to the Taney Parish Primary School website. Founded in 1792, we are a mixed school with 447 pupils of many different nationalities along with a total of 23 teaching staff.

Before joining the national education system in the late 1800s, we were a charitable school for the underprivileged and, coupled with our attachment to the Church of Ireland Parish of Christchurch in Dundrum, this ethos of a strong and caring community spirit remains at our core today.

At Taney Parish Primary School, we pride ourselves on being a happy place, where pupils enjoy coming every morning. Each child is valued for their own unique contribution and effort, and our long tradition of providing the widest range of opportunities for them from the arts to sport and, crucially and centrally, in the academic area lives on.

As well as some background to our school, you will find all of our policies along with lots of practical information for parents concerning all aspects of school life on this website.

There are two classrooms of children at each of the eight grades from Junior Infants to 6th Class and we would invite you to discover their wonderful work via the dedicated class news portal.
